Find the security, not just the ticker
Search the catalog by company name or ticker and select Stocks. Check the listing name, exchange and provider identity before opening a result. Different share classes are different securities. A familiar ticker alone is not enough to identify a listing on another exchange.
Check what the price actually represents
Open a listing and request its price snapshot when that control is available. Read the source time separately from the retrieval time. A recently retrieved response can contain an older observation. Delayed, stale and unavailable states are not interchangeable, and a missing price is not a price of zero.
Use charts only where history is available
The stock board is a separate workspace for supported price and chart data. Confirm the selected company, currency and timeframe before comparing observations. A directory entry or a single snapshot does not establish historical coverage. Do not substitute another share class or another instrument when a series is missing.
Build a thesis you can revisit
Write down the question you are testing, the observation that supports it and what would change your view. Use supported comparison and planning tools in the workspace, then revisit the source and timeframe. WagerThesis is an analysis and entertainment tool, not a brokerage or a promise of investment returns.
