Choose the exact asset
Search by asset name and inspect the provider ID on its listing. Bitcoin, Wrapped Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are distinct entries. A BTC-like name, shared symbol or similar logo is not evidence that two records describe the same asset. Unverified artwork stays a neutral placeholder.
Read network details before comparing
Open the listing to inspect network and contract information when the provider supplies it. Missing network metadata is shown as unavailable. Do not interpret that absence as proof that an asset has no network or contract. Provider identity and network details matter more than a symbol-only match.
Inspect the snapshot and its age
Request a price only for the selected listing. Check its currency, source timestamp and retrieval time. A successful lookup is one observation, not proof of continuous coverage. If data is delayed, stale or unavailable, keep that limitation in your analysis. No substitute price or invented history should fill the gap.
Move from discovery to supported analysis
Use the crypto workspace for the assets and chart ranges it actually supports. Confirm the selected asset after changing a filter or opening a detail view. Keep your thesis separate from the displayed price and record what evidence would invalidate it. WagerThesis does not execute crypto purchases or trades.
